‘Intoxicating: Ten drinks that shaped Australia’ - Countdown to launch: fifth chapter

Half way through countdown to my launch of ‘Intoxicating: Ten drinks that shaped Australia’. Chapter five, ‘Seppelt Angaston Bitters’, looks back to a time when drinks were sold on their medicinal qualities: this 100-year-old bottle of bitters that I found on eBay (still full – and still tasting amazing!) says on its label it was ‘recommended as an unfailing, quick and effective remedy for weak digestion, loss of appetite, flatulence and kindred ailments...’ Luckily, we’ve moved on from that – or have we? #IntoxicatingTenDrinks
