I have been writing about wine and drinks in Australia for over 25 years. As well as regular columns for the three outlets below, I contribute to a number of other publications including Gourmet Traveller WINE and Organic Gardener. Other work includes nineteen years as wine columnist for The Weekend Australian, long time contributing editor to the ground breaking and much-missed magazine, Divine Food and Wine, and articles for a diverse range of publications from The World of Fine Wine to Griffith Review, Decanter to Fool. My journalism has been recognised with a number of awards: most recently I was named Wine Communicator of the Year at the 2018 Wine Communicators of Australia Awards.

I write a weekly column for the Fin Review’s weekend Life & Leisure section, and a monthly column in the AFR Magazine, covering all things drinks, from the latest trends in wine to the finest single malts, from wild-fermented beer to small-batch vermouth.
I have been writing for Gourmet Traveller since 2004. As well as a monthly column, I review the wine lists for the annual Restaurant Guide, and recommend wine and drinks matches for recipes.
I write a bi-monthly column for Jancis Robinson’s web site covering news and analysis from an Australian perspective.
